Can I store things outside my container?
Sunshine Self Storage, located in Albion. Drive-up 10ft, 20ft and 40ft containers, open 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
No. At Sunshine Self Storage, nothing can be stored or left outside your container, not even for a short while. That includes pallets, trailers, rubbish, building materials and items you plan to load later.
It is a courtesy rule, and it is in our storage agreement. The yard is shared, and every customer needs a clear path to drive up to their container. Goods left in common areas get in the way, can be a safety risk, and make the yard look untidy for everyone.
If something is left outside, it is removed at your cost. Cleaning fees for rubbish left in common areas are charged per cubic metre. Goods left outside your container can also be disposed of after written notice.
The fix is usually a bigger container, or a second one. If your gear has outgrown your container, call us. A 20ft holds twice what a 10ft does, and a 40ft holds almost 70 m³, about double a 20ft. Our booking page shows what is free, or join the waitlist.
When you are loading, take your rubbish, packaging and pallets home with you. And park so you don't block other customers who need to get to their containers.
