When you call Sunshine Self Storage, you'll speak to someone who really knows what they're talking about. We've looked after the yard in Albion for over 20 years, and we keep it simple: secure, drive-up containers at a fair price.
Our story
Sunshine Self Storage started in 1998, leasing shipping containers to people who needed somewhere to store their things. In 2004 Ned and Hilary Coten bought the business.
Not long after, a block of land about 100 metres along the same street came up for sale. We bought it, and that's where the yard is today: 15 Carrington Drive, Albion, VICTORIA 3020, just off Ballarat Road between Costco and Bunnings.
Since then we've bought new containers, some to replace old ones and some to grow, and added security cameras and back-to-base alarms. Every container sits up on concrete blocks, off the ground, and a concrete driveway runs through the yard so you can drive right up to your container. Today there are 79 containers on site in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft sizes.
Why we keep it simple
We keep prices low because we felt that there were a lot of people who required storage, but didn't want to pay a fortune for it. There's no reception desk, no climate control and no concierge to pay for, so our containers are up to 50% cheaper than drive-up units at the big chains.
What you get is a watertight, dust-proof container you can back the ute right up to, your own access card and alarm code, and access from 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
