Storage while you're overseas
Working abroad, or moving overseas for a while? Store your furniture, boxes and car in a secure drive-up container in Albion, pay automatically each month, and pick it all up when you're back.
Set it up once, then leave it

Automatic payments
Your rent comes out on the 20th of each month for the next month, from your bank account or credit card. Nothing to remember while you're away.
As long as you need
Three months minimum, then month to month with no fixed end date. If your posting gets extended, your container stays put.
Someone at home can help
Name an alternate contact, and if someone you trust needs to get in while you're away, talk to us about access when you book.

Before you fly
- Pack everything clean and completely dry, keep it off the floor on pallets, and leave a gap from the walls for air
- Spread a few moisture absorbers around the container
- Check your card won't expire while you're away. If it does, send us the new details before the 20th
- Give us your overseas email and phone, and an alternate contact at home
- Check your insurance covers storage, and for how long. Many policies cap the time
- Keep a list of what's in your container, with photos
Storing your car too?
Our 20ft containers fit one car and our 40ft containers fit one or two, at the usual price. For a long stay, change the oil and filter first, top up the brake fluid and coolant, and take the battery out.
What to leave out
- Food, plants and anything perishable
- Fuel, gas bottles, paint and anything flammable
- Lithium-ion batteries, and anything containing one
If something comes up while you're away
A payment problem? If your card is cancelled or a payment is going to be late, email us early. We're real people, and we'd much rather sort it out with you than chase you.
New contact details? Tell us within two business days. If we can't reach you, we can't tell you about anything important, like works on site or a problem with your container.
Coming home? Give us 30 days' notice by email, which counts as notice in writing. Then empty your container, sweep it out and return your access card.
A price change? We give you at least 28 days' notice of any change.
