Can I extend my storage period if my plans change?

Yes, and you don't need to do anything. At Sunshine Self Storage, after your first three months, your storage simply carries on month to month for as long as you need it. There is no fixed end date and no new contract to sign.

You are billed automatically on the 20th of each month for the following month, from your nominated bank account or credit card. When you are ready to leave, give us 30 days' notice by phone or email.

That makes us a good fit when plans are uncertain. A renovation runs over. A house sale takes longer. An overseas posting gets extended. Your business is growing and you are not ready for a bigger space. Whatever it is, your container is there for as long as you need it, as long as your account is paid up.

Plenty of our customers stay for years. Neil wrote on Google that he "stored a large amount of possessions for two years in one of the 20' containers & everything was safe, secure & well-protected from the elements."

If we ever change our prices, we give you at least 28 days' notice. If you don't agree with the change, you can end the agreement with as little as 24 hours' notice.

If you are staying longer, it is worth checking your container now and then, and making sure your insurance is still current.
