How much notice do I need to give when I move out?

30 days. At Sunshine Self Storage, once your first three months are up, you can move out any time by giving us 30 days' notice. Call us on 03 9010 6147 or email [email protected].

Our storage agreement asks for notice in writing, and email counts. So even if you call to tell us, follow up with a short email. It gives both of us a clear record of the date you gave notice and the date you plan to move out.

If you give less than 30 days' notice, pro-rated fees apply until your move-out date.

You are billed on the 20th of each month for the following month, so think about timing. If you know you are leaving, give notice early, and ideally before the 20th. That way your final payment lines up with your move-out date.

Before your move-out date, empty your container completely, sweep it out, take all your rubbish, pallets and packaging with you, and return your access card. Leave nothing outside the container.

Your first three months are the minimum stay. After that, there is no long contract and no fine print. Just 30 days' notice.
