What is the minimum stay for my container?

The minimum stay at Sunshine Self Storage is three months, paid when you sign up. After that, you stay month to month for as long as you need, and you leave by giving 30 days' notice by phone or email.

Why three months? Every time a container changes hands, there is admin, checking and cleaning. A three-month minimum cuts those costs, and we pass the savings on to you. It is one reason we are up to 57% cheaper than the big chains nearby. It also suits how most people use storage. Moves, renovations, overseas trips and seasonal stock rarely sort themselves out in a few weeks.

Once your first three months are up, you are billed on the 20th of each month for the following month, taken automatically from your nominated bank account or credit card. There is no deposit and no setup fee.

For a limited time, we have 50% off your first three months, which takes the sting out of paying up front. A 20ft container is normally $299 a month, so your first three months come to $448.50 instead of $897, plus a once-off part-month payment to line you up with the calendar month.
