What is shipping container storage?

Shipping container storage is self storage in a steel shipping container instead of a room inside a warehouse. At Sunshine Self Storage, located in Albion in Melbourne's west, every container sits in our fenced yard at 15 Carrington Drive, and you drive straight up to its doors. You rent the whole container, put your own padlock on it, and come and go from 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Shipping containers were built to carry goods across oceans, so they make simple, tough storage. Ours are airtight, waterproof and dust-proof, with thick rubber door seals, and each one has an anti-theft lockbox that shields your padlock. Plenty of the things in your house have already spent up to three months inside a shipping container on the way to Australia.

We have three sizes: 10ft, 20ft and 40ft. Some 20ft and 40ft containers are set up so you can drive a car in. Prices are $198 a month for a 10ft, $299 for a 20ft and $580 for a 40ft. For a limited time, we also have 50% off your first three months.
