How big is a 20-foot container in metres?

Inside, a 20ft container at Sunshine Self Storage measures 5.9m long, 2.35m wide and 2.39m high. That gives you 33.1 m³ of storage space and about 13.9 m² of floor. Think of a one-car garage with a high ceiling and you are close.

Both doors swing right open at one end, so you load through the full width of the container. You drive up to the doors, so there is no carrying gear down a corridor or squeezing it into a lift.
