Are your containers new or second-hand?

Every container at Sunshine Self Storage is a brand-new, one-trip shipping container. Nearly all shipping containers are built in China. Ours were built there, shipped to Australia with cargo once, and then came straight to our yard. They have only ever been used for that one trip, and they are all in perfect condition.

That matters for storage. A one-trip container hasn't spent years being knocked around ports and ships, so the steel, doors and seals are as good as the day it was made. Each container is airtight, waterproof and dust-proof, with thick rubber door seals, a three-point locking system and an anti-theft lockbox for your padlock. The thick steel walls handle bulky, heavy goods easily.

New containers at a price up to 57% cheaper than the big chains nearby might sound too good to be true. The catch is simple: we don't have a reception desk, full-time staff, trailers for hire or boxes for sale. You pay for a top-condition container, not the extras.

When you move in, look your container over and take a few photos. If anything isn't right, tell us straight away and we will sort it out.
