Do you sell boxes or hire trailers?

No. At Sunshine Self Storage, we don't sell boxes, hire trailers or offer a moving service. That is one of the main reasons we are up to 57% cheaper than the indoor facilities and big chains nearby. You pay for storage, not for a shop or a fleet of trailers.

We can point you in the right direction, though. A1 Bargain Boxes sells moving boxes and packing supplies. Bunnings, just down the road on Ballarat Road in Sunshine, hires stair trolleys and sells packing tape, covers and moisture absorbers. If you need a removalist, we can point you to movers we have checked.

You will need to bring your own padlock. Choose a strong outdoor one that fits our anti-theft lockbox. Our "Purchasing a padlock for your container" guide on the website explains what to look for.

A few packing tips while you shop: buy strong boxes in a few sizes, keep each one under about 20kg, and get wardrobe cartons for clothes. Skip rubbish bags, which trap moisture and cause mildew. Pick up a marker for labels and some furniture covers.
