Can I use container storage for my business stock and equipment?

Yes. Small businesses and tradies are a big part of who we store for at Sunshine Self Storage in Albion. Seasonal stock, spare equipment, display gear, tools and materials all fit well in a container, without signing a commercial lease.

Drive-up access is what makes it work for business. Back the van or ute up to your container, grab what you need and get back on the road. Access runs from 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so you can restock before an early start.

There are a few rules worth knowing up front. You can even use your container as a workshop, but there is no power or lighting on site, so plan around that. Stored goods must not include anything flammable, hazardous or illegal, and no lithium-ion batteries or anything containing one, which matters if you use cordless tools. You also can't store documents containing personal information, like customer or staff records.

Goods worth more than $1,000 in total, or anything irreplaceable, need to be itemised and specifically insured. Insurance is up to you.
